Premature Ejaculation

Just like Erectile Dysfunction (ED), Premature Ejaculation (PE) can be an obstacle to a satisfying sex life for you and for your partner(s).

It's important to note that there may be underlying medical causes for each, so we always recommend talking to your doctor about them and ruling out biological causes.

Many guys find it stressful, embarrassing, and generally difficult to talk about. And some guys are pretty direct and matter of fact about it. We talk about it all the time, and hopefully you'll feel comfortable knowing that, and knowing that a lot of guys have had similar experiences.

Treatment usually begins in with a Cognitive Behavioural approach and then evolves as needed. There may also be relational conflicts, prior traumas, or other issues to work through, each taking treatment in a different direction and perhaps drawing on other approaches.

It's important to note that there is sometimes a first, or triggering, event, and then thoughts or relationship dynamics that maintain the issue. Other times it may be related to a mindset or habit of yours that you've had for quite some time. We can work on this, but be patient with yourself as your improvement might be a gradual one.
